A seminar on the first issue of the Olive Flower Magazine in Germany

The Kurdish Hêvî Association held a seminar on Sunday to mention the work of the Olive Flower Magazine in the city of Solingen, western Germany, in the presence of a group of activists and journalists from the Kurdish community in Germany.

The Ezdina correspondent in Germany said that the seminar included a speech by the association’s director, Izzedin Ali, who stressed the importance of paying attention to cultural activities, noting that the association’s activities include courses for teaching Kurdish music and the language to the community’s members, as well as other activities that facilitate the affairs of refugees.

In a speech delivered by the director of Olive Flower Magazine, Ali Isso, he indicated that the number of subscribers to the first issue reached about 700 subscribers, noting that the first issue of October was free with wages the transfer.

On the importance of publishing a paper magazine in Germany, the magazine's administrator, Midya Mahmoud, explained that the high turnout for the magazine confirms that there is a good percentage of citizens still interested in paper journalism, and the Arabic-reading communities in Germany lack a monthly paper magazine, this is the reason pushing the people to support this cultural project.

The seminar included a speech by the Kurdish writer Luqman Suleiman, who stressed the importance of supporting cultural activities and paying attention to permanent reading, while other activists called for the importance of issuing subsequent issues in other languages ​​such as Kurdish and German to develop the magazine's work.

In the speech of the Marketing Director, Abdo Isso, who explained that the magazine will be distributed to all Arabic-speaking embassies in Germany, in addition to associations and non-governmental institutions, as well as German ministries and government institutions.

It is noteworthy that the Olive Flower Magazine is a paper magazine published in Germany in the Arabic language. It is directed primarily at the members of the Arabic-speaking communities, regardless of their affiliations and their religious and ethnic beliefs.
