We, civil society organizations from regional and international human rights institutions, decided to appeal to you with demands that express the aspirations of the peoples of northern Syria towards the humanitarian crisis that has plagued the region recently, because the Kurdistan Regional Government has had an active and positive role over the years of the Syrian crisis, as it has taken responsibility to protect and care for tens of thousands of displaced people from various Kurdish regions in northern Syria.

We address you with a set of demands, hoping it will be followed up and address them in order to ensure the dignity of the individual in line with international legislation that protects human rights, as follows:

1- Taking actual steps to pressure on the Turkish government to stop its military attacks on northern Syria, as these attacks come in cooperation with the extremist factions of the Syrian opposition known for its ongoing violations in Afrin.

3- Sending relief, humanitarian and human rights organizations from the Kurdistan region to the areas under Turkish bombardment in northern Syria, to monitor the humanitarian and human rights conditions.
4- Intensification of efforts aimed at ending the Turkish occupation of Afrin, the Kurdish region, to ensure the safe return of civilians forcibly displaced from their areas.
